What cut of diamond looks the biggest for an engagement ring?
know this sounds awful, but what cut tends to look biggest. I know that the princess cut tends to look smaller than the round cut of the same carat weight. I am currently in love with the emerald, cushion, or radiant cut but I am unsure if they tend to look smaller. Does anyone have any insight?
I like the petite micro pave mounting. I have very short and somewhat stubby fingers so I don't want something that will overpower my hand so to say.
I'm a jeweller, it is actually the mount that makes the difference in the look of the size.
I recommend a simple round cut with a 4 prong raised mount to get the biggest bang for the buck.. however, the drawback is that the raised mount can also be easily caught on things like furniture and if the mount opens up, you could loose the stone
